The B.C. Certificate of Graduation, or Dogwood Diploma, is awarded to students who successfully complete the provincial graduation requirements.

Graduation Requirements (52 Credits)
~ English Language Arts
~ Mathematics
~ Science
~ Social Studies
~ Art Education/ADST
~ Career Education
~ Physical and Health Education (PHE)

20 Electives (Minimum of 28 Credits)
Depending on the SJIS offerings and student’s choice, the number of electives in each grade level will vary. We encourage students to take more elective courses based on their career goal.
Of the 28 Credits needed for graduation, at least 12 elective credits must be at Grade 12 level, and recommend 8 more credits in grade 12 level electives for university application.
